The ASTIP project, a research and innovation hub next to ALBATop-level research institutions from the Barcelona Metropolitan area join forces to develop a scientific and technological park. The project, already pre-selected by the Catalan Government for the Next Generation EU funds, will expand research capabilities in complex materials and biological systems. ASTIP is inspired by the ALBA renewal program (ALBA II) and includes three new centers: the Complex Materials and Technologies Center (COMTEC), the Advanced Multiscale Bio Imaging Center (AMBIC) and the innovation hub (SYNDUSTRY). Altogether, it will blend a unique combination of characterization and imaging tools, big data, material growth and device fabrication facilities.
